Dude i have a serious problem. I've got this project that is so close to done i can taste it. Today i got it finished and filled all the fluids only to turn it over the first time and it fired and shut down in two seconds. Code in the pcm is a theft deterrent activation code or something like that. The car is a base model 96 v6, the pcm has been changed to a gt also from a 96, so the pats system is trying to shut me down. Can this be disabled? I've read some posts online and on other forums that say a professional tuner should be able to take care of it. can it be done for the show Sunday? :turborun:

yep, problem is the car wasn't set up for pats to begin with so there isn't a transponder ring around the ignition switch so they can't just program it.
