What mods are you lightning guys planning on doing the winter?

Well... no one's postin'... so even though it's not a Lightning... what the hey.

I've very recently installed Denali headlights in my '00 GMC. Now that I have them in, I want the rest of the front. Soooo.... This winter's upgrades consist of Denali turn signals/running lamps, and the grille that goes with 'em.
Later down the road, I think I'd like to do the front bumper too (body color w/round fogs).

Cobra? Not sure.

Yeah I have it sitting in my garage waiting !! My Dad and I are going to build it when I get some loot.
How about getting a ZX3 focus and droping it in there with the Kugal conversion?? That would be bad ass!!

That would be so bad A$$! Or how about a sleeper...dropping it into a Taurus or a grocery getter...

The hood would have to be tall on that you'd think.

hmmmm good point, kinda destroys the sleeper look when a blower is sticking through the hood...

Now we're talking Dirty! a 79 fairmont has to be light, and if not, there is a lot of stuff that we won't need that we can take out.

I was planning on the KB unit and intake parts install, but my check book may decide to delay those plans. Howie

Speaking of delayed plans... I don't think the Denali grille will work with my bumper :(
I'll still get it, but I wanted to put it on right away. I'll have to store it and wait.

SVT-5LITER, I can vouch for you being able to post on this forum due to close proximity to a Lightning:grin:
I pm'd you about the grill info. Bummer.
Well, I guess I can spend some time this winter developing a new paint scheme for the truck and staring at my nice polished intake parts:( Still have not decided on the best plan for the oil in the intake:confused: Rory, have you put in a seperator?

Damn. What a downer of a pm! Well... guess I'll make do with just the headlights 'till I find a Denali that's taken one huge rearend collision  Guess I'll get some summer rims/tires for it instead!! But actually... maybe I'll just buy a sled, not sure. But hey, Howie, also when you talk to your bud, ask 'em if he can hook me up w/a couple recall tailgate straps and I'll just do it myself. I'll provide the VIN so he can enter in in as being completed (if he'll even be able to do it this way). If I get a sled it's gettin' hauled around in the back of the GMC... and if those straps busted, I'd be just slightly pissed off about it :mad2:

I just got my bassani cat-back exhaust from mark @LFP. Just finished installing boost by-pass and oil seperator. Still need to order 2" drop shackles. This spring I will be getting a new rim/tire combo.

:mad2: Winter Sucks!!!

Rory and BeEn, I would really like to see how/where you mounted the seperators. PM me with descriptions or even pics. Thanks, Howie
