does anyone know what the stats are on this system?
wattage per speaker, and wattage from amp to subwoofer?
everyone I have talked to so far say it is just a product wattage, and they dont know the the breakdown. I even called 1-800-FORD-SVT, and they didnt know.
Does anyone have the info???

2004 Ford Source Book for Focus states the following;
Audiophile System w/6-disc in -dash CD Player adds;
Four upgraded 80 watt 2-way speakers on 4-door and 5-door models (3-door models get two upgraded speakers)
8-inch subwoofer w/seperate amplifer
This is for non-SVT models - I do not have the SVT source book.

hmmmmm
must be different than svt systems because everything for 03 and 04 svt foci says that its a total peak power of 290.
buggers all, just gonna have to swap it out for a different sub, if it dont sound right i will just buy a bigger amp.
as far as the regular speakers, Infinity has a set of 5x7's that just totaly rock, but at $269 a pair they better. (gonna have to swap them out 1 pair at a time)

i think you guys are both right. the 4 main speakers split the 80 watts, and the sub gets 210, equalling the 290. this is what i recall off the top of my head.

ok, talked with a friend who is a techno geek, and this is the rundown he gave me after i left my car with him for 5 hours.
each of the 4 main speakers get 35 watts MAX, thats a total of 140, and the subwoofer gets 150 watts max,
mind you the stats for the system is 290 watts PEAK so that just about sounds right.
he said that by screwing around with the dsp key you are just adjusting the power to each of the 4 main speakers, if you want the best sound over all, have the dsp off and have the system set to all
