Dyno Get together #2

Another cool day hanging with the guys, this morning Doug, Myself and Jeff decided to cruise to the Big Beautiful city of Wanamingo to install a Bassani catback on Dougs 03 Lightning. Im pleased to announce a catback is much easier than the 15 hours it took me to install my headers and midpipe this week. It took us all of 1 hour to put the car on the lift, remove stock catback in 1 piece and install the Bassani. After a short breakfast we decided to give Rory a call and see if he could get us into the Dyno session he had planned with RJR. Rory got us in so the Trio left Wanamingo with the Trusty Ford Tempo leading the way at 90 MPH. As Always Mize treated took great care of all of us and treated us right. I wont comment on any of the vehicles but you guys can view the runs at the link below, it was a good time for all of us.

john tried to watch the vids with high speed and still had a kinds of trouble is it me or what? from what i saw and heard it looked like a blast. wish i had a lightning like you guys. oh wait i just might :confused: let you know in a week or so. if you want to see something real nice it is on ebay under lightnings i believe. 03 d s gray with 20's i think, from florida.

Dan I checked that Lightning out and as always, thought I give my 2 cents.

You get A Plan on any new Lighting was $27,300 when I bought my Lightning, Ford has rebates so it might be even less right now. Kenne Bell Blower is around $3000 and you will get more than the 460 RWHP with blower alone. Then for $2000 or more you can get some 20s. Now your right around the same ballpark as the truck on ebay only you dont have to have the truck shipped from Florida, with money saved you can tip me some money off your money tree for my suggestions.

Lightning $27,300
Blowzilla $3000
20s with Rubber $2000

Total $32,300

With this combo you will make more power than the ebay truck, the question is how long before you shell out the cash for the blown motor.
