Hey gals, I am a self proclaimed romantic :gay: but havent done anything for the gf as of late. Wondering if you have any interesting or fun things to do for a date or something.

Well, if you haven't done anything for her for awhile, flowers are always nice. A good plan is flower, dinner and a show(play/movie that is). Whether you cook the dinner or go out, or rent a movie or go see a movie or play, thats usually a good bet.

I don't know your girlfriend at all, but I assume most of your time is spent with car parts, so generally anything that doesn't envolve cars (except for driving) is a good idea. :)

If this plan won't work, let us know. I"m sure we can all provide various ideas.

Thats very nice Matt! The only thing I can say is sometimes its the littlest things that mean the most. Do something for her that she wouldn't expect you to do. Maybe its something she's been asking for help with or something she'd like to buy but hasn't. Just my opinion, but you don't have to spend a lot of money to show you care. :)

Flowers are always good. Brandie is always ragging on me because I never get her flowers. Time to plant flower a garden and save some money I guess. :twist:

LOL the crazy thing is she is into cars more than I am! I'm a lucky guy! Yeah I cook for her sometimes. I make this really good pasta bake that she likes. Hmm shows? What kind do you think would be good?

Apple picking. Girls go nuts over apple picking. (can someone tell me why?)

Ok, the only thing I'd go nuts over is if someone made me apple crisp or apple donuts AFTER going apple picking!

I agree! Make me apple crisp and I"m a happy woman! Low budget ideas can be almost anything. Just taking her somewhere can be nice too. Go to a park, or the zoo, anything like that.

You make homemade cards? Wow! You know her best. I"m sure you'll think of something that will mean a lot to her. And yes, sometimes the littlest things mean the most.

Wow Dan's right, that is excessive.

The trick is to make them happy and yet maintain your position on the Man-meter.:cooldude:

No, that would have been fun at least! Got a bad case of the flu. Went to work Tues. and turned around and came home, but not before doing that little barf guy along Energy Park Drive. At least I had time to get out of my truck first! Yeah fun and thats about all you guys care to hear, and even that was too much!

I would guess "Mistake Lake" would have it. Possibly even the horsetrack in shakopee.

Well, something low budget and nice. Maybe buy flowers and leave a note for her to meet you somewhere. Anywhere, maybe the Zoo and then have a picnic for her. Sometimes it is nice to give people a little treasure hunt. Maybe have her pick up something on the way there. I think that that would be cool. Unfortuantely, I don't rag on Chris for flowers. I just ask him to be more romantic. Just isn't trying to be anymore.

Either you're just trying to butter up the girls on the board, or you really are a romantic. Poetry? Jeepers. You go all out.

(I"m sure you'll be seeing many little pukey guys.)

Yeah, the note thing is really nice. Especially if she has to go and pick up something because she will have no idea what is going on. You can even do something silly like a pair of mittens. That way her hands don't get cold while you are outside. It's so cold right now that it might be a good idea.

I think that the apple orchard is a good idea...we just went last weekend. We went to Afton Apple Orchard it is a pick your own apples, you can pick your own raspberries and punkins too!! Or if shes into Halloween you can take her to the Tunnel of terror in the caves by the ford plant, then you can go for hot cocoa and carve your punkins....

well, another idea would be if she's really into cars take her to the mall of America and do some nascar racing, rides some rides, do some shopping and buy her some chocolate! That always goes over well ;)

I made a card and bought a single flower.

Nothing major but I did buy her a telescope so we can "look" at the stars together :D :)

I don't think I'd enjoy rebuilding anything that came out of a car.

And, the smell was of the gasoline type.:)
