Has anyone ran with AARRF?
I've ran with the guys from AARRF (http://www.aarrf.com) a few times. They host no-passing and passing events at the St. Cloud road course and at Dakota Tech. These things are very fun, and a VERY good deal. If I remember right, I paid $60 for an all day event, and got more than an hour of actual track time. Perhaps SVTOATC and AARRF should get together on an open-track day.
Anyways, just a suggestion.

I ran with AARRF last year once at Dakota county technical college.........It sucked!!! That track would be fine in a Civic, but in a mustang it was terrible. I want to try St Cloud and Brainerd this year, hopefully it will fit the schedule and be better. St cloud looks like a pretty narrow course with little room for mistakes. (I saw some in-car video)
One other problem I had with AARRF was there was virtually no teaching that went on. Basically they got you in the car and you drove around.

Brian, do you think that this would be a good way to get some of the basics down or is it too small to even get THAT out of it?
Dad's97, good suggestion, keep tuned for more info on our very own Auto-x.

You're right DCTC blows. BUT, the ST. Cloud track is WOT, and a damn good time.
I don't like Auto crossing in a 'Stang, either.

Dan,
Anytime you can get seat time, it's a good thing. It's just kinda hard to have alot of fun when you have been on a big track. Maybe it's like skiing minnesota after skiing the mountains, it's still fun but not near the same.
