Almost got into a race. My Step Mother has a bone stock 96 GT convertable 5-speed. I told her my Contour would beat it. She didn't believe me. I took her for a ride in it, and she thought it was kind of fast. Then it snowed 4 inches, and we never raced. I know I would have won no prob. 96 is one of the worst years for Mustang performance. Prolly about the same quickness as an 85 or 86. Maybe not even.
