#'s seem low for what is all said to be done to it, does not list boost level though. What the heck is that oil line tapped into the snout of the blower, never seen that on a 2.2L before either?

I'd say it is there for extra lubrication? I've seen the same sort of deal done on transmission tailhousings to lubricate a bushing.

The present $22K bid has not met his reserve, I'd guess he probably has it set at at least $30K!

$30K for a VERY modded up car is VERY a risky deal IMHO....

I'd go for one a bit closer to stock, and less cash?

Well we all know what the 03 and 04's have been selling for in our club.

And what happens when mods go wrong...

Keep your search close to home and be patient, what you're searching for will show up.

I had a guy ask me at the last Rock Falls event if my car was for sale. Told him "Yup. $37k" He laughed. I told him "You asked." hehe

I had one on my 2.2. It was to catch the oil blowing out of the snout at high boost levels and would route it back into the blower. **edit** just looked at the pics and thats the stock kenny bell method of dealing with oil blowing out the snout.

As for bidding on a modded car, just make sure to have a reputable shop lined up to go over it with a fine tooth comb, ie leakdown etc etc.

Ive heard of plenty of highly modded cars break on initial testing which is a risk you run if you are to mod a close to stock car. If you can find one thats already modded and everything checks out, you bypass the gamble we all take once you first fire it up after a big mod. I know of a few fresh engine builds that let go before ever being broke in.
