I bought this vehicle last August, with approx 16,000 miles on it; the title is clear and is in my possession. The vehicle is currently located in Minneapolis, MN. I am selling the car because I originally wanted an Esprit, the wife wanted a mustang and we settled on the Cobra. Well, since then she has only driven it once and didn’t like the power available, so now I get to sell it and buy my Esprit.

The vehicle is totally stock; there are no modifications other than the Ford SVT package. The mileage represented on this vehicle is accurate (25,000+daily use) and the vehicle has never been smoked in. The inspections that I had when I bought the vehicle found no body work or accidents on this vehicle. There have been none since. There is a minor paint chip in the driver’s door edge and some marks around the locking wheel nut as shown in the photos. Both of these were present when I bought the vehicle. I always park this vehicle away from other vehicles and as a result, there are no door-dings. The paint protection and rust prevention were applied by a local Ford dealership where I purchased the vehicle. This was probably not necessary, as I garaged the vehicle through the winter, but it does provide protection from rain etc and also reduces road noise to a certain extent. I started it every week during the winter to check it out and it always started first time. When I started using it again this year I had the oil changed and also replaced the front brake pads. There is no major service work due until the 30,000-mile mark.

The car feels solid and drives very well. The transmission shifts easily, and the engine runs perfect. All of the electrical and optional equipment are fully functional. The vehicle's interior is clean, no scratches or stains, just general wear on the driver’s seat surface. The vehicle is driven responsibly and is washed regularly.

The vehicle is still covered by an extended warranty that is included in the asking price of $19,500 OBO. The buyer will be responsible for any transfer fees. All owner manuals, spare keys, door openers and SVT supplements are included.

I have a recent Pep Boys inspection report and lots of pix, but had probs attaching to this ad. Let me know if interested.

Graham.

With a Ricer Engine, I believe its the same engine the Toyota Celica has.

Lotus is owned by GM. They purchased the company a few years ago. This is their high performance line of cars. I believe one was used in a James Bond movie as a submarine??

The lotus esprit for a number of years was a 4 cylinder, other years had a turbo 4 (From Russia with Love had a white one). The last several years had a V8.

The lotus Elise (Exige outside of the US) has a 190hp Toyota 4 cylinder engine. That doesn't sound like much until you realize the car wet weighs 1900 pounds. At the auto show this past spring some of us had the opportunity to watch Cobra-R drool all over one.
