My wife wants a SUV for some odd reason. I love the car because it is a total sleeper but it's not about what I like. :slap:

The car has 86,000 miles on it, but it is still covered under warranty through Westside VW (full factory coverage). The warranty can be transfered to the new owner. We are just trying to get blue book for the car: $15,000

Nice, like a poor mans Audi. Unless you are moving a lot of things or people/kids all of the time, an SUV is kinda a waste of fuel. IMO.

Ehh $40k new is hardly a poor man but I guess a A6 will run you a bit more. I agree on the SUV point.

We looked at quite a few options but the American Crossover SUV's were too small. Go figure... I couldn't fit in the Edge/MKX which is complete BS and that was without a sunroof. She ended up getting a 2007 Nissan Murano for one hell of a deal. She sure can haggle. I know it's foreign so flame suite is on.... :scared2: I guess the VW was just as foreign though.

I'm quite surprised at all the options the new Nissans have (CVT transmission, no keys anymore only a key fob that the car recognizes when you are close to it, backup camera, heated seats, 3500 towing capacity, most rear seat room I've ever seen (even I fit nicely), reclining rear seats!, 6" LCD in dash, tire pressure monitor, etc....)

Nothing wrong with foreign cars. They seem to actually be listening to their customers and what they want in a vehicle. Congrats on the great new vehicle.

nissan's are nice. for similar cash i would have opted for the Infinity FX35. Same car basically, but better styling IMO.

Infinity FX35/45 are based on the rear wheel drive 350Z platform. The Murano is based on the Altima platform. The base FX35 is a few k more than the top of the line Murano and they didn't have any deals on them so we would have had to fork over another 7-10k for the FX35. Gas mileage also goes down in the FX35 because of the boost in hp. We did look at them but she liked the Murano better and the car is for her so what ever keeps her happy.

Ahhic. I thought the prices were a little closer. I remember last fall the had FX35's on special; $199/month lease. I was close to leasing one for a winter car, but the downpayment was like $3K.

The FX35's start at around $40k and climb in price pretty fast. The current lease offer on the FX35 is $400 a month for the base model with $3400 down on the 2wd model. We were in the low $300's with the Murano.
