most likely it means that Hitech paid a fee to be a registered sponsor here so they can advertise and such.

What does this mean for the club?

Club events sponsored by hitech, such as dyno days. Group discounts.

Example:

If the SVT club wanted to set up a date for a group of vehicles to be dyno tuned, we can give discounts for that group of vehicles, much like the SVT contour guys set up a dyno tune session at a reduced rate.

Welcome!! Had a great time there this last week. When they but in my 4.10 gears in the GT. Brian and Bart are blast to talk to. And our member Chris was really niced to me, and made me feel most welcome. ( PS he should get a pay increase Bart!!) Can't wait to get more Mods done there in the future.
