What do people think of meeting at this festival in Northfield and going to the car show from 9AM to 4PM and having a meeting afterwards? Would there be enough interest to attend?
Information can be found on the website dedicated to this festival, located HERE (http://djjd.org/lmth/events/carshow.html)
The car show has a registration fee of $8 if you preregister before the 30th and a day of the show fee of $10.
Spectators are $2.
Please vote on this meeting location!

I don't mean to be a party pooper but maybe its best if we keep the meeting in the Cities for September, since the date is moved anyway. We had a nice turnout at the August meeting and if we want to encourage new members and people to attend meetings it may help to keep it local. Just a thought.
Wasn't a meeting at a car show deemed too difficult? I think thats what was mentioned when we discussed holding one at Car Craft.
I'm not trying to be a trouble maker, just putting some thoughts out there, and I certainly don't mean to offend anyone.

John, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, anywho Pamela the only reason Dan and I tought it would be an interesting idea to do this was based on the lack of summer remaining and the idea that the club would enjoy on last big car show. At least the handfull of folks that have spoken to me on this said the would love to do it, now i know full well that you are a car show freak and will take home the hardware on this one.. About having a meeting at a car show you are correct about how difficult it is believe you me I cannot do it very well can't even do it a Joe senser's. So when we do events on meeting weekends we make the meeting less and the comradiere more. Also new members we reach out to people via this type of event more than any other that we do throughout the year by far. Dan prolly has single handedly brought in 10 to 15 members in the last 3 months alone, not to say that no one else has. I'm just saying that Dan has those connections out there that get us exposed. So now that my rant is almost over we need to get a better show of hands on who is and who isn't gonna make this. So lets start posting up on this thread so we can all see who our competion is. Thanx and BE COOL

Thanks John and Dan C.! I appreciate the support! Not sure if I will make it or not, I do like this type of stuff, thats for sure, its always fun. My deal is a 20 mile run that weekend, Twin Cities Marathon is right around the corner. I could possibly hook up with the club later that afternoon, not sure how far it is to Northfield, never been there. I also want to hookup with Brian before Gingerman, I know Jackie wants him to check out her GT, too.
Anyway, not sure what I will do at this point. It does sound like fun though!
Thanks guys!
Pam
