I may be looking to sell my 99 SF CSVT.
Positives:
The car runs extremely well and has only 69k on the clock. This past spring I did brakes/rotars all the way around and did a new fuel filter. The leather seats are perfect, everything works great. The interior is extremely clean and the car has not rust underneath. It was originally from California and I bought it from a Ford dealer and car enthusiast in Westbrook MN almost 2 years ago with 59k on it.
Not so positive:
The car sustained some hail damage this fall. I am not sure I want to fix the car as I need to get rid of it to get a bigger family vehicle (child #3 on the way). The damage was estimated around 1000-1500 bucks and all dents are removable with PDR. If you are a do-it-yourselfer or have connections, this would be a perfect car for you. THe majority of the damage is on the roof. few minor on rest of car.
This car would clean up excellent, and aside from the hail, is really sweet!

I would like to get $4500 or very near that.

Anyone iterested? Just want to get an idea before I go minivan shopping! :uhoh:
Thanks, Mike

How is the dash? Starting to curl yet or is it okay?

I don't really have much to compare it to. I have never previously owned one, and don't know what they look like new or warped. Because I am anal, I noticed a slight waviness in two spots by the defrost vent.
I think it looks pretty good.
When you say "curl" are you refering to the portion of the dash near the windshield?
thanks, MG

By the vents is where it starts to go.

Is the tittle salvage from the hail? How soon you looking to get rid of it?

No it is not a salvage title. The reason I am selling is I don' have time to deal with fixing it and I will be turning it over soon anyway... I definately don't want to get rid of it, as it is a sweet/fun car. I love these exotic Ford sedans, it just doesn't fit the family as comfortably as I need it to.
Thanks, MG

it's worth more money without the damage. my car had hail damage (and was probably crashed, but the title is clean and i couldnt get the full truth out of the previous owner) but it had PDR done on a couple spots and the only way you can tell is because the window weatherstrippings peel off easy! i say thumbs up to that, i'd rather have to get new window strips for 50$ then pay the money for PDR.

Do you still have the contour for sale? I may be interested, but I would like to see how bad the damage is.
