Winter Beater

My room mate is looking for a new winter beater. His old Lincoln Towncar (beater) was in to get some new fuel lines as it was leaking gas and the mechanic told him that the frame was rusted out and it needs to be scrapped. He's looking for something that will get around without any issues in the snow, an SUV would be okay. Something around or under $6000 and needs to be an auto transmission. Does anyone have any vehicles they need to get rid off that matches his wants?

my girlfriend is looking to sell her 94 explorer, it has a ton of miles(170k) but I think the tranny and motor only have about 80k. it is an eddie bauer edition. she is looking for something like $2000 for it. if you want more details I can try and get more

There is someone coming in tonight about 6 to probably drive the 99 again and buy it - they drove it this weekend - and found an issue - shop fixed the intake manifold and changed the price to be $4777 - there is no deposit or anything on it and it is 1st come 1st served - do you know when your roommate is looking at coming by tonight?
