Alright, my birthday is in a couple weeks and I am pretty sure my wife is going to get me all the new pulleys for my cobra. I was on the billet flow site and it looks like there are different sizes for each pulley. I know I would like to get a 2.76 for the blower itself, but i am not sure what sizes to get for all the others. I guess I am wondering what sizes you guys who have done this already would reccomend i get. Obviously i am no expert in this area so any suggetions are appreciated. thanks guys.

I have a 2.8 and a 90mm idler. I should have dyno results in a week or so.

get the set of 4 idlers and the blower pulley and you will be set. It comes with (3) 100mm idlers and a 92mm idler. They have pictures of what idler goes where. Grand total should be around $375 - $400 for everything all together.

Doug sells blue, red,and black hard coated idler pullies now! If you dont want wear marks you should spend the extra 'ching now.

I am thinking i am going to get them in red and then get the intake painted in red also to add a little contrast in the engine bay and it should be a sort of match for the red on the interior of the car as well. i should have it all ordered up this week sometime.

Yeah... I'll be looking at these before too long too.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

I have my exhaust upgrades to do first, then the intake.
After that will prolly be the shifter and pulleys/tune.

Will have the MRT Catted H with the Borla Stingers on here shortly.

Which reminds me... I have to order some 02 extenders.

Does anyone have a puller at all? otherwise I will probaly just buy one along with the order.

Rock are you running headers? If not you dont need the extensions.

You sure about that?

The extenders are for the REAR o2 sensors.
I don't have a tune yet to be able to shut them off.

The mid pipe pushes them way back out of the reach of the 04 sensor cable length (at least it did on my old 04 Mach 1).

Rod you WILL need the extenders on the '04. '03's are just long enough but the '04's are not.

hey guys who have ordered from billitflow.com Can you make the order directly from them or do you have to go through one of the distibutors linked on the page? i don''t see an area to place the order and pay on the site.

BlownSVT

yes i did, all of them are billit flow pulleys, i got them in red and also got the intake in redfire. all i need now is the belt.but i'll worry about that tomorrow. all in all i think it cost me about 640 bux.

Hey VM do you happen to know what the belt size is off the top of your head? and is there a local shop that stocks them normally? i seem to remember alot of people complaining about finding belts after pulley swaps.

I will look at mine in the morning and post up what I have. I bought a Gates belt online, but I am sure you could find one locally. Otherwise Napa should carry the gatorback belts which would work also but they wear easier.

Look Here (http://stangshiftergaskets.com/BeltSelectionGuide.htm) Pick one up from any auto parts store.

Napa told me today, their belts are made by gates. So I bought one one inch shorter than stock, for my new pully.

Green stripe, even uses the Gates part number. I have a 75" Gatorback (couple hundred miles) and a 74" Gates belt (5,000 miles) if anyone wants to buy them.

I have K080745 Gates Green Stripe on the car right now. I have the 2.76 upper pulley, (3) 100mm idlers and (1) 92mm idler. The aux idler is a 100mm one.

doug from billitflow said belt size is stock 75.1" for the set up i ordered. the 2.76 blower pulley came today but the other 4 aren't here yet, kinda strange they didn't all just come in one box but they should all be here soon. the intake should be here tomorrow as well. so it should all be on soon i hope.

with the 75.1" I assume that you will get belt slip. I have the same setup that you ordered and I have a 74.5" belt.

I have the 2.76 with the 4 Billetflow idlers and am still running my original stock belt with 20,000 miles. No dust showing up from belt slip, but if you check my dyno chart www.soulfisher.net (http://www.soulfisher.net/) , you see a bit of a fluctuation in the curve at high rpm that might be from slippage.

However, I don't recommend running the old belt, I just didn't have a new one when I installed the pulley and couldn't find one in town. That reminds me, I still need to take care of that.

i suppose i'll look aroound town here and see what i can find in a 74.5"

Dave one other question for ya. I have the jlt intake comeing same as yours. i was looking at the stock setup today to gauge how tough it will be to take the old one out and put the new one in. what did you do with all the stuff thats hooked up to the stock intake ie. the sensors and electronic stuff. just dissconnect it or what? just seems like some of it would be needed.
sorry if i sound dumb asking but this will be the first time i do this stuff to my own car on my own.
thanks.

thanks. You move the maf over from the stock tube to the JLT setup. Then you just pull the IAT sensor out of the grommet and move that over as well. PCV tube also disconnects from stock unit and moves over to fitting on JLT, its all actually really simple. Just take your time and if you have any doubts along the way just post here and im sure someone will get you a response asap.

well it's on there, it was a little tough just due to the tight fit, the only real issue is that the hose for the vacum line or whatever just doesn't fit tight over the part on the jlt, so i used a little apoxy and a tie to hold it in place for now but i will haev to get a smaller diameter hose here in the next few days.

You're welcome, It actually went fairly smooth. Your belt is as tight as it get's. You'll like the 50+hp increase, once it's tuned.
