Caravan Saturday to Cedar Falls

Who all is driving down to C/F on Saturday morning? Anybody want to caravan from Hwy 42 and I35 in Burnsville on down to the track?

The Lakeville McD's is fine with me. Any reason why you want to be there so early. Schedule on the C/F website says timed runs begin at 1PM - It's a three hour drive.

I was thinking 8-8:30ish, but can make it earlier if that's what makes sense.

The gates open at 10, timed runs may start at 1, but you need to run in the morning to guess your dial in time for the track/day/conditions. Plus, I think we need time to get there, set up camp (tents) and relax a bit.

Up for debate but I want to get there early.

How about 7:30am at the McD's truck stop in Lakeville? That will get us to the track between 10 and 10:30 which should be plenty of time to set up and relax before the racing starts.

I can meet you at the Holiday station at 169 and 41 about quarter to seven, assuming that everyone is OK with meeting at the truck stop at 7:30.

It looks like the plan is for everyone to be at McD's truckstop on I35 in Lakeville in time to leave for Cedar Falls by 7:30AM on Saturday morning.

Brian, let me know if you are meeting me on the way over or going it on your own.

Assuming we all get going from the McD's by 7:30AM, we should make the Clear Lake turnoff from I35 between 9:00 and 9:15AM.

Is there any place there to hook up?

Absutively! Exiting off I-35, turn right, there's a Perkins on the right. There are a few other restaurants/gas stations at that interchange, but the Perkins is the only thing that I remember both name and location off the top of my head.

6:30ish. We'll coordinate in the morning. 6:30 from my place gets us to Lakeville at 7:15. Time to pee, eat a Bacon Egg Chese bagel and roll my fat butt back into the car.
