Has anybody done the boost bypass mod? I saw on the rpm outlet website, it says you should do it if you have more than 8lbs of boost. True or not?

no need to do it, just get it turned off in your tune. Whatever you do, do not have it turned off and then do the mod.

Why is that? Steig's website says to do both. Turn it off in the tune and mechanically disable it.

Hey, I'm still wondering why you should not disable both? What are the consequences(sp?)? Why won't it work? I'm running a 2.76 upper and a 4# lower and am only pulling 15psi. I have both the physical bypass done and it is turned off in the tune. I was thinking bad belt slip....but ...now you have me wondering.

Alot of the tuners are saying not to do both. I can only trust my tuner and the others that have spoken up about it. I have a 2.76 upper and a stage 4 port and I am seeing 14#'s of boost. I would check to see if you are getting belt slip.
