I picked up the cougar yesterday! It still has a few things that need to be taken care of but I wanted to bring it to the show so they cleaned it all up for me.
While I was in the shop watching them clean it up and touch up any paint chips or what not one of the guys came up to me and started talking about the street racing crap on tv lately. He asks me right way so where do you guys go street race. I'm like WTF do I automatcially street race because my car is modified? I told him I've seen it before but I'm not a "street racer." I think all modified cars are going to be thought of as "street racers" for quite some time now. Damn press.
Cougar looks fantastic. They buffed out the entire car. They still need to source a weather stripping to put on the headlight. For some reason ford doesn't sell the weather stripping any more so there is a small gap under one headlight instead of the nice rubber weather stripping like on the other. I found a nick in the new rim so they touched that up right away. The other new rim is still not on but the one that was scratched up was actually only covered in rubber from the person that hit the car so it all came off. The rim looks great. I'm still getting the other rim though that way I'll have two extra rims for whatever. Maybe I'll get two more and we can put that set on the contour.
I'll get pictures at the show this weekend but by then you'll all have seen it. :)
