Stock weight 03/04 Cobra

Has anyone weighed a stock 03/04 Cobra coupe in the club? You can't go by magazines. My Mach was supposed to weigh over 3450-3500. The bone stock weight with 1/4 tank of gas and everything in the car{except me} was 3340. I just weighed my 89' LSC 1/3 tank of gas, everything in the car{stock]. Any guesses? Also a free prize to anyone that knows which car is heavier, an 87-92LSC or an 03/04 Cobra. Remember the LSC is a version of the Fox platform.FYI.

I weigh my cars at the truck stop in Rogers.{101and94] there is also a scale in Anoka. I don't know about the southern cities.

I'll guess about 4100 for the 89LSC and about 3700 for the Cobra.

I would say 4400 for the LSC.

I cant remember exact figure but down at cedar falls I was a tad over 3900 with half tank of gas or so and me in the car (im 250lbs).

I went over the scales last year at brainerd and with me in it,1/2 tank, it weighed 3850. I'm about 220 so i'd say around 3620 to 3650.

Full Tank of fuel and my metal sign, cleaning supplies in the back.

I was surprised how "light'' my LSC was. When will the weight increases stop? If I get a Cobra, it will go on a diet.

The big gain in weight for most of today's vehicle is from all the safety items.

Dual Air Bags
Side Air Bags
Stiffer frames
on and on.

Without the obese poundage of today's cars, we would not be seeing the 500+hp monsters everyone is excited about. Remember, 10-12 years ago most cars-camaro, Mustang, etc, could do low 12-high 11 1/4 miles with only 375-425hp. Makes you wonder, huh? The weight thing will not stop until the lawyers decide the car companies cannot play God, and that the car companies cannot be responsible for stupid deaths of human beings.

I weighed the 03 Cobra. 1/4 tank of gas. Bassani Complete exhaust. So the stock cats and muffs are gone. All other weight in the car. Except me of course. Any guesses? Hint, The stock exhaust must weigh a lot. Pm me if you can't wait for the answer to be posted. Lets see who's the closest. Free cookie to the winner. For reference, the Mach 1 weighed 3340 Bone stock. Less with the prochamber. Maybe 3300.

My car weighed 3580. I weighed it twice, just to make sure. Getting the stock exhaust off, and running 1/4 tank, lowered it down from around 3660 I guess.
