Got a Chrome wheel that is PITTING, (NOT curb rash). Anyone got any suggestions on how/where to get it fixed before it's too late?

I've been told that there is a place in Roseville that fixes rims that are pitted, and also will chrome wheels too.
But, i have no clue what the name is of the company. Maybe try calling up Tires Plus in RV, and see if they are aware of a place that does this work.

Good work Dr. Watson! I'll check with TP and see if they have a clue.
(I work in Roseville, would be SWEET!)

That would be really cool if you could find out the name of the place:grin:

How and why would that be happening, and what does it look like so I can tell?

Usually happens because salt eats away at the metal, but you keep your cars pretty clean Dan so I have no idea whats up with that. I'm guessing its your 01 cobra rims? If they ever saw winter that might be why. Just keep them clean in the winter and they shouldn't pit.

i talked to a guy at work today whose company repairs all wheel problems as well as selling new ones. The company name was transwheel. Thats all i got, no card or anything.

Yep. The '01 Cobra wheel is starting to pit. Too late I guess?

Pits look like dirt permanently imbedded in the rim because there is little nicks in the metal. Looks like crap. Just look for crap and your good.

No. You would have to sand blast the rim and refinish it.

My dad has a very close connection to a metal dying facility in Minneapolis that I have been working on getting in touch with for some time. If all works out this place will be able to do all kinds of refinishing on chrome and stuff.
