Hey guys I am looking at gettin a second set of rear wheel and tires for my 03 cobra speciffically for track use so I dont destroy my strret tires doing burnouts and what not. I think that I prefer to get slicks as opposed to drag radials. In looking at jegs and summit It looks like most all the slicks in a 9 to 10 in width are only sized for 15 inch wheels. Does anyone know if a 15in wheel would even clear the rotors and caliper in the rear. I am also curious to know what type of set ups have worked well for you 03,04 cobra guys. thanks.

hope you have lots of money to invest in half shafts. Don't do slicks unless you are thinking of switching to a solid axle or want to keep replacing the half shafts on the car.

I know there are certain 15's that will clear our brakes but they are expensive. Hoosier is starting production of their drag radials in a 315 which will be perfect for a 10.5 wheel and will probably be the next best thing to slicks.

Even with Hoosier drag radials, I agree with Dave. If you dont have a stout clutch, 26 spline input shaft and DSS lvl 5 half shafts and a diff brace, your asking for trouble.
