Took down my first C6 vette today. Was a good race but I came out the winner in the end. No it was not a Z06, but it was a C6 that sounded sweet.

Incorrect. They 'only' have 350-355 to the wheels, and they are a little heavier than the old C5 Z06s.

Actually Kris, not to get in a pissing match but I personally watched a dude at 1 of our dyno days lay down a fat 340 to the rear wheels on his 02 or 03 Z06. Guy was pretty ticked when he saw all the crappy Ford's laying down 360 plus stock!

Heck he even went as far as to pull his air filter out and try, no good either! :uhoh:

Believe me, I've done the research. On the SAME dyno, on the SAME day, the LS6 engines ('02-'04 Z06) make roughly 10 more rwhp than the LS2 engines ('05+ C6 non-Z06), although not quite as much low-end torque (below ~3500rpm). My personal Z06, completely stock, put down 368/361 on a SAE-corrected Dynojet. The C5 Z06 is lighter as well, and it has better track-oriented gearing (shorter gears in the transmission). Perfect drivers in perfect air (zero Density altitude or better) have gotten C5 Z06s in the 11.80-sec range at close to 120mph. The C6s can't approach that.

Go ahead and put your money on the C6.....but I'd suggest not putting too much on it.

The dyno Dan C watched the car put down the #'s on was a Superflow, NOT dynojet, so it's very possible you two are arguing the same point.. :)
