Just throwing this out there to see if there's any comic book collectors.
I have a Marvel #1 issue of The Amazing Spider-Man !!
This is not a re-print. It is an original March 1963 first edition, first run. The issue retells the orgin of Spiderman. It also features the Fantastic Four (ties with F.F. #12 as frist Marvel x-over); intro John Jameson & the Chameleon; Spiderman's 2nd appearance.
The book is stored away from light and moisture in the proper plastic sleeve, and has been for years. I would guesstimate the condition to be Fine to Very Fine. I have had this comic since I was a kid, and it's alot older than me! If you have to ask the value, then don't bother, as this is a rare piece of history, and the collectors know what it's worth.
Questions or comments? Reply or pm me.

was talking to a friend of mine who collects and he said that if it is what you say it is, in the condition you state, and NOT signed its worth more like 11-13k, or depending on where its signed if its signed 8-10k. and mind you this dude is a collecting freak, honest estimate is he has over 15,000 comics.

Geeze! It's been a couple years since I looked it up I guess. I used to get price guides every year or every other year, but I'm not sure the last time I got a current one.
However, for someone to pay 10g for a comic, would take the right collector with some coin to shed. That'd be nice

Actually last time I priced it out, I think the 10k range was for mint, which is ulra rare to find. Mine isn't quite mint.

he said that 11-13 was at the high end of the range for very fine, and ALOT of the reason it is that price right now is because of the movie buzz.

what i ment was he was right about the spider man hype driving up the price on the comic. You are doing the right thing buy trying to sell now because the movie will not be around forever. but if you really wanted to rid yourself of this treasure, go to shinders and find out what they would be willing to pay for it or just give it to me.:drink:
