More than likely the emissions on the truck will be a bit tighter which may reduce some h.p. but I cannot see it being much!!

will this not allow me to mod the truck as freely. Do i have to get a diff ecu or something. I want to be able to tune and add all the options freely. thanks for the help

There is no difference between a Lightning that was sold in California and any other state. All Lightnings met "California emissions standards" when they left the factory.

You will be able to tune/mod it without any issues.

I should be at the meeting on Saturday. My truck is a 2003. Still haven't had it out on the roads yet, but hope to in time for Saturday's meeting. I have most of the common bolt on mods - upper pulley, lower pulley, ported supercharger, headers, etc.

Hope to meet you on Saturday.

Gen II Lightnings were ALL made in Canada (pretty sure). I have no idea about the Gen I's.

Import? Canada isn't part of the US yet? We may as well take them over, since we basically have to defend their borders to defend our own. Of course, then we'd only have Mexico to go to for cheap drugs, and that would just be a shame.

Another question?
How many mile do you guys have on your lightning? should I stay away for ones that have 50K + miles or are they just gettin broke in? Do the mod take a strain on the eng? I am lookin at a 2001 with 65K on it that seems high for a L. Let me know what you think. Thanks

With mine being a 2001, I have 33k on it.

Some have told me that I have'nt even ' broken it in ' yet. The only mod that I have on there that could ' strain ' the engine, is the 4lb boost pulley I have. But I don't beat the piss out of my truck anyways.

My 1999 has about 33k on it as well, but I have even less in the way of power mods than Dustin (only 2# lower at the moment).

How much 65k will have strained it will vary widely, depending on engine mods, and driving habits. It could be in great shape, or it could be on the brink of death if they really abused it.
