Joey Chitwood needs to hire this guy.

Last week south of Mankato, a Highway Patrolman pulled over atleast 6 Corvettes going 126mph. He reduced the ticket to 95mph. He missed the first group - all heading to Rapid City SD for a Corvette Rally.

I'm sure after that the cop is going "Cha ching I'm gonna buy me a whole box of krispy kremes." That should fill his quota for a while.

It was the last patrol car that "did it right" Those other officers out there need to have a refresher course in defensive driving.

Couple items, They tried to spin him. (Wrong naswer) and they tried to spin him in a direction that gave him the probably the most amount of room to recover. (Wrong answer) and they did it TWICE (Wrong again).

Then when one of the police "Spins him" (Wrong answer yet again) but at least this time it was to the "Shortside" and coincidentally into the barrier/wall...

Then his uncoordinated partner collides with the perp, pushing his car down the length of the wall that previously had the driver pinned in the car. Thus allowing the driver to escape yet one more time. (Bad commo I guess)

Finally, someone comes along and pins, not spins, the assailants car "properly".

Now, shouldn't these police drivers have to sit in their car for a minute before like all 8 - 10 of them decide to jump on this guy after hes already on the ground...?

Don't they realize that their adrenaline is running high at this point...?

I am not advocating this type of driving from either the "Suspect" NOT the police. Merely commenting on all of the points that I see as having gone "Wrong".

Then again, is it truely wrong if they catch him....? Well, Yes it is, when they should have had him at first contact.

*Hi everybody :)

I wouldnt condone opening fire in a crowded mall to stop a shop lifter, so why in the world would anyone condone such actions by the police to catch a car theif and danger all those other people on the road. And they destroyed the car anyways...

This thread was meant as a joke but since we are going to be so critical:

Shooter, Traffic was heavy and as you saw in the video the car was weaving back and forth thru traffic. The police prob tried to spin the guy out at the only time they had a safe chance, like little to no traffic in the area. Then the last car you saw pushing the car along the wall, he wasnt pushing it 100% the Mustang was in reverse and the guy was trying to get away for a 3rd time. (Notice the Mustang take off in reverse before the police car even makes contact.) The police might not be perfect and might not have executed the chase perfect. They are human just like me and you, they make mistakes. They were only doing their best to get this asshole off the road and keep him from causing a wreck or injuring a innocent person.

Casey, your right I dont condone the police starting a fire to stop a theif from running away. However, I would condone putting a bullet in his ass and even going as far as killing him, in the long run it will save money in all the appeals the bastard is going to file. Worst case senerio, they paralize the punk, city pays a million $ lawsuit. Im sure its still cheaper than the cost of trial, appeals and imprisonment.

Disclaimer- While my last statement is far fetched, I do feel the justice process is not what was intended when the Constitution was written.

John,
I agree that no one is perfect. Yes they do try to stop them when its safest to do so. Also note: The chases that are done "Right" aren't popular because theres not much to see.

As for part 2 of your post: I'm with you on what I call "The .35 cent solution" (Cost of a 9mm round).

Stay safe out there poeple, we need the good drivers to breed. (Bad drivers feel free to remove yourselves from the gene pool)
