This is not a SVTOA-TC event but I know 4 SVTOA-TC members that will be going for sure. It is a raceday at RockFalls and track prep is the best on these days. Costs starts at $35 for the 4 ft Wally trophy and I think its $45 if you wanna go for the cash. As long as you make it past 2 rounds, I believe you get a smaller trophy. I believe this is a day event but check http://www.rockfallsraceway.com/ for directions and details.

You don't need to burn up tires...

that I know however he seems to thing that everyone has to do a burnout before they race. I said dad I am just going to have fun I am not fast enough to win. then he said well you tear out your gears or something like that. I dont think he knows that I know how to drive.

I would advise that you do NOT do a burnout on street tires. You will pick up water from the water box and piss off everyone at the track. Tell him that. :)
BTW - you can race for FUN, not a 12 second timeslip. Some people do NOT powershift..
Others like to be "glazin' like a raisin".

Plus...it's bracket racing...not "who's the fastest" racing...if you can be consistent...even a 19 second car could win the day!

So far these are the forsure people
Myself, Jason, Casey and Carley.
Im pretty sure that Jeff and Rory will be going as well. Wade will you be there ? Im trying to convince Doug to go but he is always full of excuses, maybe if you drive for him his car can beat me  We were at a Auto Cross event yesterday and a relatively stock Mustang beat/passed him. We will see if the therory holds true, 1/2 Vette owners can drive the other 1/2 cant. The jury is still out on Doug

You could always tell him your going so you can install that shifter we forgot to install at the meeting ;) Sorry, I totally forgot about that. If you still need it done we really could knock it our in a short amount of time.
Then remind him the shifter is going to prevent you tearing the gears out.

I received "clearance from the tower", so I will definately be there. And I will be in search of the "Wally" AND the elusive 12 second time slip!!!!
I believe as John mentioned, if you win 1 round you get a trophy (normally you have to win at least 2 rounds). I have won a trophy both times out this year and have had a blast doing it.
Below is a pick of the trophies - the one on the right is what you get for winning 2 rounds. The one on the left was from winning the Street Eliminator class a couple of weeks ago
The car on the trophies is Mustang fastback!
FYI - there are 2 classes if you are running for trophey
Street Eliminator - 13.00 and slower
King of the Hill - 12.99 and faster
I hope to be in the latter on Sunday:)
