While installing my new shifter I had to go to bumper to bumper to get some silicon. While leaving I came nose ot nose with an 03 Cobra, and a very nice one at that. The nice man turned his car around and went around back to give me some room so naturally I followed. When he stopped I told him I loved his car and was wondering if he knew of the SVT club he said no so I gave him a card and when looking at the car under his snake and supercharged badge it said police interceptor. Funny, the man that I had been talking to was a retired office of the law, even more funny was that he was driving a pimped out cobrawith big anteneas on the back. anyway he sounded interested in the club so we might have a cop joining our ranks so no more street racing for you boys

Cobraboy,

Was that Cobra Copper a sonic blue '03 with a billet grille and chrome inserts on the rear bumper. If so, I met the guy about six weeks ago up at the SuperAmerica at Hundertmark and 41.

He's a retired Tennessee state cop (plate on the car are actually TN), and he's working at the airport as a "security consultant" - at least that was what he told me at the time. I had run out of cards from my wallet, but told him about the site and it was just two days before the June shows/meeting. He was pretty cool, but really didn't seem all that interested in the club - said he would check it out, but never heard from him.

I'll tell you it scared the xxxt out of me when I first saw him, as he was sitting off to the side of the road and I was out "roadtesting" my kid's new Nissan rice burner (SE-R Spec V). He pulled up beside me at the SA, and I felt relieved when I saw the TN plates, but it was a scary couple of minutes.

Hope he turns up this time out. If this isn't the same guy - it means there are at least two "police interceptor" cobra clones running around Chaska!!!

Best to All,

Dave

you are correct sir we are talking about the same copper and man he scared the **** out of me. however I did not notice the Tennesse plates. Did he pull you over or something or why did you notice it at the SA?

I saw him sitting along side the road near Chaska Middle School just east of 41 - I slowed down and tried to look invisible (hard to do in a Banana Yellow SE-R!!!!!!). He didn't follow along, so I pulled into SA for gas - just when I finished paying inside (needed a Coke to relax), he pulled up outside. I asked if the car was his cop ride or what and he said no, it was his own personal vehicle.

That's when we talked and he told me about working at the airport and that he was either retired or on detached duty (I don't remember which.) We talked a little, and I told him about my own car and the club - he said he'd check it out, but never heard any more from him.

As I walked off, I noticed the police interceptor stuff and the Tennessee plates. I notice stuff like that, since I spend some time down South and always like to know what's up with the boys in blue.

He must live around here - If I see him again, I'll try another pitch to hook up with the club.

Hey guys. This "Police Interceptor" Cobra showed up at the Bloomington Mitsu dealership. I tried to tell their used car manager that "interceptor" Cobras weren't ever made by Ford and it is probably a bunch of stickers. The cars has the police car like flashers in the tail lights and the number 7799 on top, whatever that means. The idiot left his D.O.D. base entrance sticker on the windshield. The person trading it in is supposed to remove the sticker and return all pieces to the base. I also told the manager to make sure he gets that sticker off right away, before the wrong person notices it. It's sonic blue with chrome letters in the rear bumper cop like antennas on the back and the engine is really dirty. The hood has a huge rock chip that has been touched up too. Cool looking car but the "interceptor" decals and nameplate look a little ricey to me.

Search button. I am looking for verification that the car is just a Cobra with stickers on it made to look like it was a cop car.
