Just fixed up another 3L SVT Contour.

Year: 1998
Exterior: Black
Interior: Midnight Blue Leather
Engine: 2004 Ford Escape 3.0L Duratec
Transmission: Stock 5-speed
Milage: 95k on clock 17k on new motor

This one mechanically is perfect. I just put a new set of rotors on the front. Engine runs great and sounds mean when you get on it. It would be great for anyone looking for a daily driver.

Price: $6000

Nice car! BTW, can you really feel the difference between the 3l and the 2.5?

Stop saying tempting and come and test drive it. :) I have two people coming tomorrow to look at it. I just waxed it so it looks much better than the pictures above show. :) I was also able to get most of the haze off the headlights with a buffer so they look 100 times better. I have another one on the way so that will have a 3L finished in a few weeks.

As far as "can you feel the difference?" it is definately night a day. The SVT parts and stock SVT tune really wake up this motor I've seen dynos on these 3L's from 180 to 205 without mods. A stock SVT dynos at 165. Plus the torque down low is unreal. Max torque is in the 1000-2000rpms. Torque spikes right away and then is flat all the way up to redline.

PM me on where you live in Minneapolis-I work out there, and I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to check it out.

How do these ride? I was going to by a SVT Focus as a daily driver, but the ride was a little to harsh for my taste and I ended up with with a GrandPrix GT in the end. So do the contours ride similar to the Focus or are they better? I put on a lot of miles, so i need to have a fairly decent riding car with good seats. Also, are they any good in the snow?

I've driven both the SVTC and the SVTf... and I would say the Contour is a little less harsh I guess... depending on tire selection sometimes also. The SVTf has a 17" wheel with a shorter sidewall thean the 16s on the SVTCs, IIRC. Them little focus' can corner! I have not driven either vehicle in the snow, however, so that can be answered by someone else.

Drove mine all winter. Never got stuck once, but you have to be careful with the low-end torque.

Finished a Red 3L SVT Contour. Also a 98 with around the same miles. Car is in great shape. I'll be looking to get $6500 for it. I'll put an ad up for it later tonight or tomorrow. I figured it might entice those that like the Contour above but hate black. :)

Which one's faster? :)

I'd have to say red because the dirt sticks to black and the extra weight will slow it down slightly. :)

Chris, aren't all your cars black?! The red ones are usually duds!

Yeah they are all black. I never said they were fast though. :)

Hahahaha you mean like Kyles... Lol

Looks like the Black one may have sold tonight. I put so much wax and polish on that damn thing it should be protected forever. The guy that came over couldn't belive how good it looked. He just needs to get the money together. Should be gone by Monday if it all works out. ZEESTRATEN46 from TC Stangs is the guy.

I still need a winter car so I'm not sure if I want to sell the red one yet. :)

I have parts on order for the Silver one. They should be at the dealership now. I just need to pick them up and start tearing the car apart. If you are interested let me know and maybe I'll work faster. :)

Car exterior is in great shape. I think it had one door ding. The rest looked great. I didn't notice any scratches or scraps on this one. I'll stick with $6500 firm on it.

I'll be installing an upgraded shift tower on it because the stock shift tower was discontinued so you're in luck. :)

Damn!

Silver is the hottest CSVT color IMO! They all seem to be going for a lot less than mine too! :(

Bruce your's has less milage than almost all the ones I've sold so don't worry.

Oh and the sale for the red one fell through tonight so who ever else was interested in it let me know ASAP. Someone came out on a dirt bike that wanted it. It looks like the car is yours if you want it. I don't have your phone number so PM me.

Thanks,
Chris
