A guy at work has a Silver SRT-10, last week I had the chance to speak with him and play a little. Before I get into the details let me say, the SRT is a nice truck. I dont know if it worth the money but I do know the interior and Stereo put my Lightnings stock components to shame. The seats offer much more support and Stereo is better than even the Mach system the GT and Cobras have. As far as gauge readout goes, I like the Lightning much better than I did those in SRT-10. Im not a fan of the huge frontend but do like the spoiler the Dodge has. Now to the important stuff, from a dead stop, I was about 3-5 truck lengths ahead of him to about 120MPH.I will say he was catching up, traction was a big problem for him and thats why I got such a jump. I know that with a better driver or traction the outcome would have been different. Then we took off from a roll(About 45 Miles per hour) and it was a totally different story. The SRT 10 got a big jump and I was never reeling him in, this is where the power advantage would shine. The SRT is rated at 500HP with a 15% driveloss the T56 has thats around 425RWHP. My truck in street form makes 400RWHP or about 450HP. The owner of the Dodge told me that next time we will try each others trucks, thats tomorrow afternoon :pickle: Brian posted in the Gingerman thread that a SRT 10 has already signed up, I look forward to seeing what they will actually do in the twists, being 500Lbs heavier and having 22 inch rims, Im hoping I will do better. If he isnt a novice driver, I dont have a chance :yellin:

From the 45 roll, what gear was the SRT-10 in? Did your truck downshift when you stepped on it? What tune were you running on your truck?

Sounds like fun!!

Jeff, Im pretty sure he was in 2nd gear. No my truck didnt downshift because I manually had it in 2nd gear. I was running my reflashed 01 Computer, same computer my truck ran the 12.6 and Doug ran a 13.3 bone stock. The computer has a total of 16 degrees in perfect conditions, today I saw a between 10-12 degrees and had intake temps of between 120-130 without getting into boost :scared2:

Jason, I met the guy again and I actually got to drive it. As I stated before the interior is very nice and seats do offer support. I didnt beat the piss out of it even though I wanted too:hahaha: The truck had a nice throttle responce from about 55-100 in 3rd gear. You really get a feel for the power the truck has with a standard transmission, Im sure the feeling is the same with a Cobra Vs the Lightning. I invited him to go to track with us on the 17th and also told him about Gingerman. Unfortunatly he is in the Union so it will be hard for him to make the events but he did say that Cedar Falls could happen.
