Don't have the actual time slip anymore, went to the Cobra hall of fame! But it was a bone stock 13.1 at 109.65 at Cedar falls a couple years ago.. Missed 3rd only 1,500 miles and I hopped pretty bad to start..

Remember suckas you can't beat what you can't catch!

Kafn8td

I thought it does not count unless we have the slip?

Seems like Dan will have to have that beast at the track this year.

That is correct. Times will only be posted with a timeslip. You will be able to click on the name and see the slip.

The first time I heard it, it was a 13.2 0r 13.3 @108. I remember because I was trying to beat his time in my bone stock Mach1. I couldn't hook up. I had a 60ft of 2.2 and ran a 13.43@104.3. K&N filter was my only mod. I left everything in the car.. Spare/jack etc..So I could have an honest base time to work down from.

:violin: Mine was a 12.9 114 MPH Pre Mods and Stock tires, with a 2.0 60ft, and Dan

How did I get faster than Rick? Was this time in the '01? If not, then you may want to put more air in the tires and run it again.

Now, hail the fastest (paper proven) club member; for now at least.

The one thing I request with these is if you are not the winner of your race (bracket racing you may not be) please let me know which time is yours.

Remember, if you want your time posted, you must either email me a copy of the timeslip, or hand it to me at a meeting with your name on it.

No Rick was the 12.1 second. I thought a .5 was a perfect reaction time. but if that was true WYSISYG red lit????? In Ricks 01 he was running 13's all day long

Some tracks it's 000. Some it's .400, I'm not sure if any are .500 anymore.

Look at the MPH on my slip haha. I fell asleep waiting for the 2 second head start to go by and his .2 reaction time to my .55 is the difference (beat me by .0638 even though I crossed the line first). I jumped on the brakes once I caught Rick, but not quite enough. That's the fun part about bracket racing!

Sorry guys, I just noticed that something didn't work right with the links. You are supposed to be able to click on your name and view the timeslip that was submitted, but it doesn't appear to be working. I"ll get that fixed tonight when I get home.

Kafn8td
03-23-2006, 09:09 AM
No whining here. I love that stuff. I knew as soon as I left that I would need a miracle to beat Rick. That run was probably a mid 11 @ 122 if I hadn't jumped on the brakes.

Bracket racing is fun, it pits driver against driver. Who gets the best hole shot wins most of the time. Plus you need to "bracket" your time almost perfect so you do not "break out" but still get close to breaking out.

It was fun a stock vehicle going against modified vehicles.

Even the Foci could win!
At Sacramento Raceway there was a guy in an Oldsmobile station wagon with a 455 in it. Consistent 13.5. Light turns green, pedal to the floor, turn around, drive back, pick up trophy, go home.

Good suggestion, you mean like best 60' or best 1/8th mile time?

Maybe Michelle can do that for us? She's the one putting the site together.

Kaf, you have come a long way, and I think you are probably the best driver, considering how much hp you have to handle. 500 is harder to drive than 300. Traction is key.

Hey Mikey, when I used to desert race with my Bro-in-law, the last short course race of the year they held a spouse race and a mechanics race. The wives and Mechanics got to run a 5 lap free for all. I think any car you work on this year you should get to race!.....
