Way to go Mark!! Just did my 3rd one a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure you already have Stegies write up, and it is pretty straight forward. Take your time and don't over torque the intake bolts. The torque is wrong on some of the instructions.
Congrats you are about to enter a whole new world of no traction. haha

89 INCH POUNDS is what it should say. Instead the stupid instruction say FOOT POUNDS.
Doing the conversion 89 Inch Pounds equals about 7.4 Foot Pounds.
I have my blower back but there are some other things that I will be doing to the engine before I put the blower back on. Let me know if you need any help.

Thanks fella's! I cant wait to get my car on the dyno and then for some 11 second passes at the track. Its gonna be a fun summer!
Rick since you've done three of them all ready maybe you could answer a question for me. I've down loaded some tech sheets from CobraBob's web site about putting silicone between the I/C and blower.Anyways the tech sheet shows the silicone on only part of the I/C flange. Should I follow this or put silicone around the whole flange?
Thanks, Mark A

I did the whole flange, a very light coat. Mine had it all the way around when it came apart.
Can't wait to see the numbers you guys put down with the new port.

89 foot pounds! Holy crap. :) Just hand tighten for 7.9 foot pounds. Most cheap torque wrenches aren't very accurate down low anyway.

I know my torque wrench from sears goes down to 5 foot pounds and up to like 85 or 90 foot pounds.
I do have my writeup handy that has pictures in it. I have it as a PDF file. I still need some more pictures to finish it off cause there were parts that need 1 person to do the work and 1 to photograph and I did mine all on my own. Let me know if you want it and I will give you the link.

No wonder German cars are considered so well built.
I think we went German on the tools, and every thing is fine. Even had the car out for an hour and a half testing her. Not today.

Torque wrench's are most accurate in the middle of their ranges. I have snap-on digital torqe wrench's which claim to accurate down to about -+.3% and if I get close to the bottom or top side of the range I will use a different one that puts it more in the center of that particular wrenches range
