Hello all~ as many of you know Chris and I hope to get our house on the market soon, as we will be making a big move to Maple Grove. To get ready for this, we need to get some new carpet put in where our lovie little Dixie at a young age did some destruction! The first conclusion that I have come to after looking a while is carpet is EXPENSIVE! Since we are moving, I want to go for a nice look but not spend a fortune. We need about 74 square yards of carpet to fill up the upstairs! ANY IDEAS for CHEAP suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

THANKS!

Unfortuneately I don't know that she'll be able to find that much carpet in remnants. I don't have much advice other than the only way I know to save costs is to install it yourself. But, its probably worth it to have someone else install it for you.

If you have a friend that can get a builder discount, that would be the way to go. I do know that some places allow financing. We went through Abbey carpet next to the Mermaid. If you check it out, try to talk to Carlene. She was the woman we worked with and she was great. If you call and give her a budget and some measurements, she might be able to figure somethings out before you even walk in.

do you mean square feet? square yards seems really big. Dan is right though. rememnants would be the cheapest. And I didnt mean to sound like a dink. But if you have a room that big thats sweet. Why ya moving?

Thats only 666 sq ft which isnt that much, my house has 1696 sq ft of liveable area which 90% is carpet.

I also have an aunt and uncle that own their own Abbey Carpet in Elk River. THey might be able to work with you on this if you are interested. Let me know otherwise you can look it up on the web and just tell them that I had sent ya.
