The famous Franklin Hotel in Deadwood SD. Pict taken from the Mt Moriah Cemetary - more on it later. The hotel is famous for having famous people stay in it...This is where we stayed!

How did Teddy get in on this action? I guess 'cause he broke the 10 year old treaty with the Indians that allowed us to build this thing...

Here is what the Crazy Horse monument when (if?) it is finished will look like. Fog rolled in and we didn't get to see it for very long, but it is impressive! The 4 heads of Rushmore are smaller than Crazy Horses head all by it self!

Did all of the normal stuff, ate, drank, gambled, drank and did I mention drink?:drink: Had a great time and if you are looking to go and do nuthin - this is the place. Great drive out there, and once there lot's of well maintained twisties to play on. Had a few high speed blasts on 90 (what else is there to do?) and believe me when I say a vert with the top down is not very aerodynamic at 125+!

Also went to Custer State Park - Wild Buffalo, donkeys and fighting Pronghorns were all there!

Here's Crazy Horse from about a mile away. You can just start to see the fog roll in.

I hear the lack of aerodynamics I was doing a 120 with the top down and you could feel it, oh well it was a blast anyway

Hey Pam, I said "if" it is ever finished because the sculpter Korczak Ziolkowski and family have refused Govt funding and are doing it all on donations! He started in 1948 and the head was finished in 1998! He died in 1982 and his wife and 7 out of 10 kids (I think) are going to finish it. The head is almost 90 ft high!

Hey there Rick, yeah I knew that the guy had died. What an amazing feat. I hear you about "if" it will ever get finished. Probably not in our lifetime. Just amazing though, I think!
