Cruise & Meeting on July 17th

When 4:00PM until we run out of money or get tired

Here is the plan:

I spoke to Kathy today at TGI Fridays, She is going to set up a area for us to gather as well as block a area for us to park together. She cant block off a huge area for us so Im going to have her block off a area for 10-15 vehicles and the late people will be on there own. We will can have drinks(Non Alcoholic) and appetizers as well as conduct our monthly meeting from 4PM -5:30PM. At 6PM the group will leave towards Redwing,MN. Depending on traffic we will either cruise down the river thru the Wisconsin side or if traffic is heavy we will go down the MN side. Im guessing that after the pitstops for pictures and drive down, we will arrive at the Casino between 8-830. Then we can all proceed to the Buffet and afterwards hit the tables or slots, which ever floats your boat.

Please post here if you plan on going so I can give TGI Fridays a number of people we expect.

Way to go John, count me in with one car. I'd like to do Car Craft too but probably won't make it to that on Sat. with the meeting and cruise. I run in the morning and have stalls to clean, etc., blah, blah, blah when I get home. But maybe can get to Car Craft on Sunday?? At any rate, with preparation I can make the cruise!

Pam, if you want to do Car Craft, I'd love to have you park near me. I haven't decided if I am bringing one or two cars yet. But you're welcome to drive with me or ride along on Sunday. I'll be going on Saturday and Sunday. A fun filled weekend!

Agreeing with rossvt I will show up at the meeting place, but will have to pass on the trip to the casino.

Folks if the Casino isnt everybodies cup of tea, lets cruise from Afton up towards Taylors falls, then those that want to Casino can go East to Turtle lake and those that wanna hit Uni can go West towards 35 and then towards Uni. The Only reason, I arranged it to go to Casino is because thats what alot of the members requested. Myself, I would much rather play the odds on odds on cards than the odds of getting pulled over for something stupid on Uni. We can decide at the meeting and I prefer Turtle Lake anyway.

I'd be up for whatever. I know John has worked hard to plan this cruise and make some definite plans for this event. I support whatever the club wants to do.

My opinion is that this weekend out of the whole year is a very special one down at University. I know most of my favorite cars/trucks/automobiles will be out and about. Either way, after the casino (if that's what the club chooses), *I* will be down at Uni. :)

I gave up my vacation day on monday because a guy at work, his dad is haveing surgery on monday and no one else would bow out, so i did. i like my vacation and all, but i am not cold hearted.

so it looks like i wont be catching up with you all on Saturday

Hey everybody, I signed up for the Car Craft Summer Nationals this afternoon. I'm excited! Just from what I could see today I can tell its going to be a great time! Me and my hotrod will be heading in to the fairgrounds with Dan N. and his hotrod Sat. morning. And since I work so close to the fairgrounds I'll be going over Friday afternoon as well. I'm switching my 14 mile training run from Saturday to Sunday morning so I can take in this event and help promote the club. I'll be heading down there Sunday after my run. Anybody up for a run?? grin:

John, I'm not sure if I'll make the meeting Sat. or not, depends on whats happening at Car Craft. Thanks for your efforts in getting the meeting and cruise arranged, I do appreciate it. You guys drive safe and have fun!

Called and confirmed with TGI Fridays and we will have a room with 20 seats. Story changed on parking, they are going to try and block off a area of 10 spots for the 1st people there. As far as the cruise, it looks like alot of you are going to University, so we will see what happens.

I wont be able to be there until 4:15ish so somebody please try and be there on time so they know we are not bailing out. I spoke to Dan yesterday and I think the meeting is going to be somewhat short and we only have a few things to discuss and remind everybody.
