Hey I was wondering if anyone was interested in just a cruise locally, just so that I can get out of Waconia for a change and cruise with someone that has more than 150 HP in their Honda Civic (Man I hate those cars, driving a honda is like being in the special olympics no matter how fast you are your still retarded). well get back to me on this

Have you been keeping up with the posts in the Event thread? :)

John is working to produce a cruise SOON.

I realize that John is trying to coordinate a cruise and I would like to join in on that however that doesnt have to be the only cruise that this group does. I think that we can do more than one thing a month just in case someone has to work the day that there is a cruise or they are not interested in shows you know what Im saying.
It was just a thought but I do really like what this club is doing I just want to see if people other than the pres can start something to make this club a lot bigger. TC stangs do a cruise once a week

Brian, great idea and Im sorry but Im bad with names and dont remember you from the meeting  You can start and post anything you want to do in this forum, thats what its for. If you look at my latest post in the Cruise thread, I even suggested it to Chryse. Rick posted asking for help with a spring install. As I stated, you or anymember arr more than welcome to try and organize events, you dont have to be a director or Pres. As far as the TC Stangs comment, they dont have alot of events that we have, we are more organized and most of us arent the typical 16-22 year olds that can meet at any given moment. In summary we arent students with part time jobs, we have families, 40-60 hour work weeks and responsibilities that prevent hanging out at BW3 on a Tuesday night until 2am.

I was only at BW's until 11pm <smile>

As for the TCS Comment, actually they don't have a cruise once a week... What we have is the group of us trying to figure out where to park once a week <Grin>

TCS is way more laid back and incredibly flexible with their events. This SVTOA group is far more coordinated and structured. Both of these models have their strong points, as you are aware, TCS appeals to a younger demographic and has a tendancy of leaning towards Drag Strip Racing.

Whereas, SVTOA appeals to an "Older crowd". Generally speaking, the cars are built for driving and not "point and shoot". As stated, this group will have larger events most likely with more coverage and I wouldn't put it past this group to actually leave the state once in a while beyond Cedar Falls, IA.

Not flaming either group, merely pointing out that they both appeal to a different set of people.

Stay safe out there,
-Steven

I am an 18 year old kid doing 40-60 hours of work at college just like all of you guys are doing at real work, however thats why I was trying to get other things together so that even if you do have to work there will be something to do with this group. I see the point about not wanting to have all kinds of stuff because then the serious stuff will no longer be as serious. The only problem I have with the group is that I drive a stock 01 cobra and just dont feel right going to a car show it makes me feel dumb, even though I know it is a tight car. So what I am trying to say is I have to pimp it out but that takes time. Mainly to convince my father that it wont wreck my car. you guys are great

LOL Didn't TRY to hit him... I think we need to chip in and get Dan a neon "Road worker" vest for these events... :)

Hey, as for the stock '01.... I'm in a stock '03. Alot of guys in heavy mod'd GT's want to roll up on me... hell, when you're in a cobra EVERYONE wants to roll up on you <heh> but you know that already.

Anytime you want to just hang out let me know, I like to get out a lot if I can. I'll do Porky's for a bit and roll on to some other location... in fact, last week I just put the radio on and got on the highway...ended up in Rogers Mn. Almost drove right off my map.

The funny thing is she kept telling me how sweet her v6 was and it HAD a manual so I have no idea how you could make the mistake of taking your foot off the clutch with the car in gear and the hood up, not to mention a person standing in front of it. Oh well the kid who came with me didnt even know how to drive a manual. Yeah I am always up for a cruise, give me a call
