Just a note to let everyone know what I am going to get done in the coming months.

First off I am putting together a budget for the coming year. I am coming up with ideas to help raise money for events so members have minimal or no out of pocket expense. I am also working with Ford Motor Co for an event next year involving driving. I will also become more visible at events, shows, meetings etc. The only meetings I cannot attend are the one's that are off site on Saturdays. I will open to anyone's questions. I am also here to give advice to anyone that may be in need of some. I am going to try and get another autocross here this summer, but that will probably be a shorter course because I don't think we can move as many cars. But the ideas are rolling. The club is getting stronger and I am very excited for the next year.

I had a traveling soccer team last summer and we didnt have nearly enough money to support ourselves, so in order to get funds we proposed the idea of washing cars at the local dealership. Like once a month we came into the dealership with 20-25 guys and washed everycar on the lot. they gave us all the money that we needed. We were able to help them by doing a service and getting their name out from the banner we carried, yet got what we needed out of it, maybe thats something that we can do for our dealership in order to get the money and such that we need to make our group successful. With as fast as we moved all those cars it wouldnt take a whole lot longer to wash them, and I have seen all of your cars, you guys know how to get a car clean. Just a thought

I say we put together a calendar with the SVT member cars and have the dates already filled in for the events that we know of... (That would be cool instead of Holidays) <Grin>

Not a bad idea Shooter. Not at all. I think I'll mention again that there was an offer for professional photography earlier. Was anyone interested?

Yeah I sent him a few e-mails back and forth but as I am working on my buying of a house right now.... I'll have to wait until about August before I can do a shoot with him.

As for interest? definately!

Also, not that anyone cares what I think, I have seen many of this guys works and they truely are mind blowing, phenominally high quality with incredible detail and clarity.

Dan, I was actually talking about getting his "Couch size" done of the Cobra <heh> I just need to detail it first and call him to pick it up. (Because I trust him)

So yeah, if you are coordinating this with him that would be cool.

Again, thanks for hosting us 2 weeks ago. It was a blast and I dont think anybody didnt have a good time. As mentioned at the last meeting, the club has grown greatly in size over the last 6 months. Its events like the autocross and exclusive SVTOA-TC events that are going to make people wanna be part of our club over the freebie or lower priced clubs. $65 is a serious commitment and its important to give everybody there moneys worth with the economy in the shape its in.

I'm interested in the photography, and the calendar idea is a good one too!

The prices that he charges are well worth it. I think that to most people they may look a bit on the mid to high range, but then again, most people don't understand what it is they are getting. So in that regard I feel that the individual photoshoots are well worth it.

Besides, he is willing to go over each and every photo with you in order to advise as well as inform his clients based on his expertise in the area of photography. You can't charge enough for that kind of knowledge. :)

I'd think that one person should talk to him about a group shot to see if the volume of cars would be enough to get a price break. Again, most people don't understand what they are getting. So break or not, its still well worth it.

Another option would be for each of us individually to get our "best photo" and combine them into the Calendar.

Personally, I'm going with "Zeus" for mine. (love the couch size photo idea)

Pam click the IMG tag on the post reply screen and then insert the URL Addy where picture is hosted. Another option is to upload the picture to sites server, go to the bottom of the post reply screen, click browse and chose the file you want to upload..

Is that Cobra Blue or Mystic? Cos if it's Blue it sure looks kewl. Mystic is not for me (sorry Dan & Dan), to much purple and teal and lots of other girly colors (just kidding, am I?). :butt:
