We should have more Contours than mustangs in this club if they would just show up to a meeting and get involved.

Yea if I had a truck I would probably store my CSVT with my camaro if I could... but I don't have the room for 3 cars. Well not as of yet anyway, I'm looking to buy a house in the Blaine/Coon Rapids/Anoka/Andover/Brooklyn Park/etc area. I work at Caterpillar in Brooklyn Park and the girlfriend works at Pace Analytical in Minneapolis. So I'm trying to find a place in the middle ground thats under 205k. If I can find one that has room to build a large garage or has one already then maybe I'll get a truck.

It's hard to find a house in those areas for close to 200k. We went in looking for one around 200 and ended up going way over. We live in Fridley BTW. Three bedroom, two bath, two car garage, one detached single garage, and it was built in the late 80's. I think Brooklyn Park was a bit cheaper. We just didn't like that area too much.

I'm just trying to keep the payments down to around $1500-1700 a month. I would like to have about a $2-3k cushion each month if at all possible. Plus if it's a house thats got the room for kids and cars later on I'd want to stay there for more then 5 years so looking at 3, 5, and 7 year arm loans are no longer an option.

Hoping to join the ranks of you CSVT owners next week. That sure is one pretty car Chris! Mine will be on the road almost everyday too. Got to keep the MM good :)

Thats cool. Well i wish i could drive mine but tonight (christmas day) on my way to my aunts my contour went to complete hell. I really dont want to get into what happend but its not driveable anymore.

So i spent a good portion of my night getting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck and to bringing it back to my dads place. But again have no idea what happend to it so i wont go into it. But if its serious looks like im going back to the probe for some time cause there is no way i can repair it since im about to move into my bro's place and thats a commitment i can not break.

This sucks hardcore :getmad:

Well if it was sort of cutting out and then all of a sudden died and won't start back up again... and its a early 98... chances are your cam & crank sensor wiring went to $hit. I just finished rewiring my harness because of that crap. But then again I spose you could have blown your tranny too or worse case senario you blew the motor. Good luck in any case. I know what your going through. I had to borrow my dads car for about a week during all of my crap.

No its not the tranny i know that. But what the car does is when i was just crusin in 5th gear at about 60mph the car suddenly jerked then kept goin and started to sputter then i lost all pedel feel in the gas pedel. Like i press it and nothing happens but the engine is still running. Then it died completely.

I manage to start it again and drive it for a mile till it does the same thing. This time i let it run on the side of the road and its knocking and there is a sound of a massive vacuum leak or something under the hood. Plus no leaking fluids also so i didnt through a rod. Remember this is a 3L swap car.

Well dan came out to help and found out the problem. There was a trouble code that the fuel level sensor wasnt working correctly so thus on my fuel gauge it was not telling me the right level of the fuel. On a previous tank i ran 250 miles no problem but on this tank i ran 212 miles and well the whole problem thankfully was it was out of gas. Ive never had a car run out of gas before so i wasnt sure what was going on. Plus with the false info from the gauge i didnt know it was out. Chris told me when i bought the car that the gauge wasnt working correctly and to fill it every 200 till its fixed. But me being a damn penny pincher i like to stretch it as much as i can.

Its good to know it was just gas, but its also a shot to my pride that i couldnt figure out that it was out of gas. If it was a mustang id for sure know whats going on but these contours are foreign to me and dont know there symptoms and such.

Great to hear everything's okay Kyle. Maybe you shouldn't bring that Probe out of retirement just yet

ya i really didnt want to bring it out. But just got back from my dads and drove the contour for 45 miles and no problem. It was definatly the gas. But man what a crappy day for that to happen on. Guess ill remember this christmas for sure now :(
