Hey Folks July is a busy month for everybody but we all want to do a cruise. We dont want to compete with plans that any of you have so please vote on the date that works best for you. Here are the Plans:

Meet at a resturant in Woodbury between 3:30-4:30 for Appetizers and drinks (Non Alcoholic) I will co-ordinate with the meeting place to block off a section for all of us to park together. We will depart the Restuarant at 5PM and head to Hudson,WI and cruise down the WI side of the river, in Prescott we will cross over into MN and then head to Red Wing to Treasure Island Casino. Once the group get to the Casino we can all hit up the buffet and then hit the tables or slots. I know at the meeting people expressed interest in catching a show but unless its the 4th of July weekend nobody is performing. There is a Beatles Tribute but thats late in the month and it doesnt sound like too many people we willing to go to that show.

So Cast your Vote for a Date and we will finalize this 1 week from today.

Things to consider:

July 10th is MN Mayhem
July 16th-19th is Carcraft.

July 17th works best for me and I think since we are talking about departing at 5PM it gives you car show guys all day to check out car craft. Also remember the 17th is when our meeting is suppose to be, we kill 2 birds with the same stone.

I had to lean towards the 24th, considering your meeting is on the 17th <heh> Figured at the meeting you could finalize the events of the coming weeks and still give people a little time to make minor adjustments needed in scheduling.

But, I cast my chip and let them fall where they may... I'll go with the flow.

John,

Don't forget about the construction work on the Hudson bridge. I heard they had a 12 mile backup on Saturday last weekend.

Any other route that would avoid that?

John,

I would vote for every weekend, just because getting together with everyone is so much fun! I posted my vote for the 24th but whatever weekend we can get the most people to is fine with me.:chacha:

Dave- Thanks for the tip, I will see if maybe we should cross into WI in Stillwater and work our way south.

Chryse- Im with you and there is nothing wrong with you guys posting in the events section if you just want to hang out on and go for a cruise on Sat or Sunday. The weather we have had the last few days really makes a vert nice.

Dan & Rick- I have no idea who you guys are talking about but enjoy the show.

Brian- Depending on how things go this weekend in Texas, I have a race the 24th in Chicago, so maybe we can cruise together.

Keep the votes coming, If the 24th happens to win I will post all the details and give names of contacts to Chryse or Rick.

At this time, the 17th looks to be the winner by a single vote. I say we do the 17th because I have to print flyers tonight for the weekend's "stuffing" party. :) It also falls in line with our monthly meeting date.

Any major objections?

Plus, who could go a month without hearing a certain Texan's drawl?! :drink: :scram:

The 17th it is, maybe Dan C can bring his Bobby Mcvee tapes or something. I will find a restuarant that can meet our needs and provide us with reserved parking. Look for me to post the exact details in the next few days.

Here are the tenative plans:

4PM- 5:30 or so Socialize and enjoy appetizers (In Woodbury)

6PM depart restaurant and head to Redwing(Treasure Island Casino) to enjoy a evening cruise and do some gambling.
