Well I talked to the cop working on getting the title for the Jagaur I bought in GA. Looks like the seller is not giving up the titles. One title the cop got recently wasn't valid because the seller didn't sign it. The cops are putting out a warrent for his arrest and the courts will have to settle it. This means a long ass time before anything happens because courts suck.
One of the main reasons I bought the car was because I wanted to map out the AWD system and try to modify it or a junked system to fit on the Cougar. Its possible because the Jaguar uses the same engine and is the same length so it will bolt up to the engine nicely. Uses the same tranny except for few different parts inside to account for the AWD system. It is not controlled by sensors so that won't be a problem. Only issues would be a custom bracket up front to connect the transfer case to the sub frame. Then a completely new rear end on the car including a race gas tank in the trunk or Jagaur tank so the driveshaft could fit through. The rear is going to take a lot of work because the Cougar has coil over shocks in the rear and the Jag does not. The new Ford 500 is almost exactly like the cougar rear and is AWD so that would be almost perfect but it isn't forsale yet. Why not just do it since the Jagaur is going to be sitting in my garage until it starts falling apart. I can't see any reason not to besides the saying "its a Jag!" which means nothing if you can't drive it. I think I'll go for it when I move into the new house. Should be a very very interesting project. I think it would be a really cool project and could get a lot of recognition if I pull it off and get the turbo for it.
Here are the layouts I have on file:

I know Dan is probably sick of hearing me talk about this but its the perfect oportunity to do it. The car is worth nothing without the title. I don't owe a ton on it. Cars in Europe using the same frame have the AWD like the Mondeo so the frame can handle it. The Cougar prototype was even AWD. I took measurments under the cougar and I don't even have to widen the exhaust tunnel the driveshaft should fit right through up to the Gas tank. Then its monster garage time. Muhahaha.
