A friend of mine is working on his own photography business. Here is some info that I thought might be kind of cool. I am working with him on group pricing, but wondered if anyone would be interested in some high resolution photos of their cars. Can anyone say 3ft Mystichrome?!!

I would be soon able to schedule some photo sessions with some local auto enthusiasts.

I will charge a simple sitting fee for a single session. This is similar to the fee you would pay for portraits of your kids, family, etc. Written in to that fee is a voucher which you can use to purchase prints once you select the ones you like from the proofs. I post proofs in a web format, which I'm sure won't be a problem for you web saavy tcstangs folks. You can choose from a wide variety of print sizes both alone and matted/framed, or a CD of the images in high resolution.

Prints are archival-quality photographic details on Fuji Crystal Archive Lustre or Glossy, or Kodak Endura Metallic professional paper. This is not the kind of thing you can do at home with your inkjet printer. Not only that, I have a fast lead time so you can have your prints in your hands almost as fast!

The following will cost extra over and above the base sitting fee:
-location more than 30 miles from the center of the Twin Cities area
-location hazardous (mud, blowing sand, etc)
-more than one automobile (obviously)
-if you or another individual wishes to be in the shoot as well

I prefer to choose the location but I can also work with you if you have a location in mind.

Have a look at some of my work at http://www.geekcraft.com/ (main site is flash-based..turn on sound and enjoy. You can also get to a larger archive.) and let me know via email (patrick@geekcraft.com) if you're interested. My workflow is all digital now, and I use only the highest quality Canon optics and filters. This makes for a very punchy, almost 3-dimensional image similar to what you would get from Fuji Velvia or MF in the film world. Not only that, there are some things possible in the digital realm which are simply impossible with film! I would be happy to discuss specific pricing with someone honestly interested in having this done.

Cheers,
-Patrick
