What do you guys pay for insurance? I'm paying 630 every 6 months for the Mach1. Are the cobras worse, better, or about the same?

Ouch. I wonder how much of that is age. I'm older (40), married, clean record, etc. Would it be any better?

Our insurance is $657 per month and includes the following:
4 drivers - Rick and I both have good driver discounts, 19 year old son & 16 year old daughter
04 Cobra
02 Turbo Beetle
00 Ford Taurus (has higher coverage - work vehicle)
'94 Jeep Grand Cherokee
also includes homeowners ins.

Hope that helps.

hahaha thats classic! Well, back in the day my record wasnt the best. Infact I got my license suspended because i never proved my insurance but that is supposedly off my record now but I havent seen any savings to prove that it is. I think its my age. 22 in a 400hp car! There not dumb, they know how Im going to drive it!

Shan and I pay around $250 a month for 3 vechicles

All have full coverage, and $500 Deductables.
05 F150 Lariat
04 Mystic Cobra
04 Lightning

So divide that by 3 and you get about 83 bucks a month for each vechicle..

Oh BTW Shan is 28 and I just turned 30 she has a very nice record, I on the other hand do not "so go figure"

this is kinda wierd....Back when I used to live with my ex girlfriend, I had to have her on my insurance plan since we lived under the same roof & shared the murano. My insurance was cheaper with her on it than without her on it? WHy is this? In theory the vehicle could be on the road twice as much than if only one driver was issued to the vehicle. twice the risk for an accident. i dont get it.

I think because a woman brings stability to the male counterpart...for the most part anyway.

1428.00 a year for a 2004 F-150, and a 2001 F-150 Lightning.. That's full coverage on both, but I drop the lightning down to storage when the time comes around.. But, that amount is the most i'd pay in a year.

$1350 every 6 mos ($225/mo)

'04 Chevy Silverado
'05 Ford Mustang
'99 Nissan Altima (Liability only)
'69 Ford Mustang (currently storage only)

$500 deductible and 100/300 liability

sigh...Dave drives too fast and I used to hit things (it was a one year period...it will be off of our policy soon!)

Unnecessary acceleration in a 4.8L full size pickup truck, give me a break. That cop was a jerk. My truck only runs a 17.044 1/4 mile.

its disturbing to me that you would know your pickup runs a 17.04. Were you in amongst a gaggle of metros?

What do I pay??? hohoho... a frig'n LOT! You'd swear I had a dui or somethin', but I don't. And as far as they know, a clean record. I set aside $300/mo. for 3 vehciles full coveragee. It's less when the Cobra's in storage, but I still kick out some dough! Insurance Co's are a scam :yell:

Hey, I just saved money on my auto insurance! Just cut my 04 Cobra from $1100 to $550 every 6 months by changing companies. Basically the same coverage - 250/500 $500 deductible (except dropped full glass). Overall, changed 4 vehicles, house and saving $2100 a year. Guess my old company wasn't doing me any favors.

04 Cobra
03 Saturn Vue
93 Ford Ranger
97 Dodge Neon (teen driver)

I just got my insurance bill for my '03 Cobra convert, $356 for six months. :)

I don't know what the total cost is, but I know the cobra only raised our monthly payment by $6. That is instead of the 05 V6.
