Well last night Brandie and I slept at my apartment and some drunk ****ing bastard bashed in to her contour and my cougar. I heard it but I looked out the window and didn't see anything so I went back to bed. I guess someone called the cops because there was a report number on my car. Brandies bumper was bashed in pretty good but driveable. Her car was thrown up on the curb so it was hit pretty good. Mine was hit in the rear driver's side quarter panel and scrapped all the way down the car. Both rims are completely wrecked, front fender is totaled and the front bumper is cracked. The door is messed up because it didn't even want to open. It definately took most of the damage because it was pushed about 30 feet right into the middle of the road. There was also a tree down the road that was hit. How the hell did this bastards car still work after all this? Anyway I called my insurance company and filed a claim. Its going to be in the shop for a while though so it looks like we won't see it until mid-late summer.

Oh my gosh you guys! I can't believe that! That totally sucks. I'm so sorry to hear this. Whoever did this, their vehicle must be pretty smashed too, and I would hope you'd be able to find out who it was. Did you file a police report or anything like that? Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

Looks like Brandie's car might be totalled out. It has close to $4,000 in damage and its just a base model 4cyl 98 Contour.

My cougar has around $7,000 to $8,000 in damage. Front bumber, rear bumber, front fender, rear quarter panel, both driver side rims, and mirror need to be completely replaced. The door has can be fixed with a little work.

A few people in my apartment told me that when he hit the tree down the road the police and fire department came to pull him out. It doesn't make much sense why the cops said it was a hit and run then if they know who hit the cars. We called to get a copy of the police report but it won't be in the system until at least Monday.

I'm driving the SVT Contour and Brandie is driving her mom's SVT Focus for a while. :)

Yup SVT focus. Her mom isn't really a car person. We've told them about the club but they don't seem interested.

Found out all the body panels on the car will be replaced with brand new panels. No damage to frame. Some slight damage to the rear suspension arm which will be replaced. Both rims on that side will be replaced with brand new ones and I can keep the old ones. They are not bent just need to be refinished which I can handle :). Might be good drag rims or I'll pick up another pair to complete the set and put them on the contour.

I'm getting aftermarket fiberglass fenders put on because a pair of aftermarkets are $215 shipped vs the $230 for one ford fender. They will like these only on the cougar:

Hopefully not too ricy for you guys. Atleast I won't have to worry about dents as much as I would with the stock sheetmetal fenders.
