Got a question for you guys, what should a guy do to get rid of some scuff's/rough area's on my steering wheel. I have about an inch long scuff on the steering wheel and it is driving me nuts. Can someone tell me how to smooth this out and try to return it to normal... Thanks

Can't do it on the Mystichrome unless you get new padding. I had the same problem and the Mystic's are notorious for bad leather interior. That's what the one in Prestige Lincoln Mercury was in for, bad leather on the inside...
Sorry buddy, maybe get a steering wheel cover to protect it while you're driving and possibly take off your watch and ring while you drive but don't let Shan see...

Honestly are you saying that, there is NOTHING that I can do to smooth out the leather.. Cause if that is that case that top steering wheel cover is in my future..

I think the big, red furry one would look the best and wouldn't clash with the lawn hair when he's got the mystic parked out front in the driveway. :)

I have a few scuffs on my interior. Armor all leather treatment the heck out of it, and it will fade a little. You have to keep doing it however.

D, then are you saying the problems on the Mystic steering wheels look like an inch long scratch or little gouges in the colored part??

Absolutely. Mine had the same thing right where the color changing part was. It gets scuffed easily and will NEVER look right. Trust me, I've tried. I would, if I were you, get a hold of a dealer (AVF perhaps), and get another steering wheel cover under warranty.. Get one and put it in a box and shove it up in the attic. Just in case you decide to ever sell the car or make it a show car, or what not.

The only thing is it looks like it was cut with something, kind of weird because it wasn't there last wekend at the dyno. I park the car for a week and go to drive it yesterday and there it is. Like it just appeared.. I think Jon and i need to talk if that is the case, but if it is not then I am not going to take a part that I ruined from Ford..

Yep, mine looked like it was scuffed from a watch or something and I don't own a watch or a ring or anything. The Mystichromes were known for having bad leather wrap... all I can say..
