MINNESOTA’S LARGEST CHARITY CAR SHOW WILL RELOCATE TO SAINT PAUL’S MIDWAY STADIUM

The Third Annual Mods and Rods Charity Car Show will be held August 13, 2005.
Mods and Rods Website (http://www.modsandrods.com)

Mods and Rods is an ALL-inclusive auto show that encourages members of the auto enthusiast community to enter their vehicle in a competition for over 30 trophies. The show raises funds for SpeedStreet, a charity that promotes road safety and provides information on automotive maintenance and personalization.

The Mods and Rods Charity Car Show has grown considerably since its inception in 2003 to become one of the state’s most anticipated events. In spite of inclement weather last year, the show managed to attract over 175 vehicles and 1,500 people to its host for past two years—the Ellingson Car Museum in Rogers, Minnesota. The change of venue this year adds a new dimension to the Mods and Rods legacy. By relocating to Saint Paul, SpeedStreet centers itself in the heart of the automotive hobby surrounding the Twin Cities.

The Third Annual Mods and Rods Charity Car Show will be at Midway Stadium, 1771 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul, Minnesota from 11:00am to 4:00pm Saturday, August 13th.

We hope that you will plan on attending and stay tuned for more information regarding this exciting show! Please feel free to E-mail or reply to this thread with any questions!

Maybe we can get together before the show. The show's a while out yet, but I need to use someone's electrical outlet if I was going to enter. Gotta buff out some flaws. Maybe we can make a car detailing event before the show?

That's what I mean. Having a gathering so we can clean our cars a day or two before the show. Then probably have to clean some minor stuff at the show.

My car will probably take me about 4 hours to get it show ready. :googleeye

I've never been to the show before. Maybe I'm too competitive for it.LOL!

What time should I show up tomorrow, being that I'm not pre-registered?

Also, is there a map or something, or where is the entrance to the show?

Kris, if you can meet up with the group at the McDonalds at HarMar (see thread about Southsiders cruise) you can cruise in with everyone then. There is only one entrance into the show this year.

Hello SVTOA!

First, congratulations on winning the Best Team Showing trophy! You had an impressive group of people at Mods and Rods on Saturday. I was thrilled to be able to give you this trophy after all of the support you have shown our event.

I want to sincerely thank all of the volunteers from SVTOA that flyered at car shows this year (Back to the 50's and Car Craft to name a few). We wouldn't have been able to distribute 10,000 flyers across the Twin Cities without your help. Also, I want to send a special thank you to the people that came to Marcus for our Sneak Preview Event and volunteered at our show. You parked cars, helped with registration, provided security, answered questions, helped us to communicate with guests, and so much more. We are so grateful for your help!

Thank you to Brian, Nick, Rick M. (congrats on your win by the way), Rick T., Shawn, Tayrn and a special thanks to Chyrse, Dave, and Kris who provided invaluable assistance with registration and admissions. You all helped to ensure that the show went smoothly and we couldn't have done it without you.

You really have a wonderful bunch of people in SVTOA (of course less your fearless leader...where did you get that guy anyway?). You were there every time we asked for your help. Therefore, I would like to offer to cover some pizzas for you at your next meeting or meet (I will work with Dan on that).

Thank you for everything!

Thanks Annie! We had a great time. You've got our help for any future event, all you have to do is ask.

I have to say you did a great job organizing it all. I'm sure it was a huge job and the amount of time invested in it was extraordinary. As you well know, a great team can make or break an event. It is obvious by the success of the event that you have an awesome team! Congratulations to you as well!
