Any Road racing guys know about these? (Brian?)
The '99/'01/'00R's got 14mm bolts but the '03 and '04 Cobras got 12mm bolts in a 14mm bushing. Causing driveline clunk.
Anyone got any input?

I don't think the problem is as isolated as you think. I know some 00R owners that have found the 12mm bolts installed as well. I havn't checked mine, so I have no idea what it has.

Perhaps it was also affecting the '00R's. I can't recall which models are which. I would assume it's as easy as replacing the bolts and nuts. I have the part #'s. Could be worth it otherwise I'm thinking that should be covered under factory warranty?
Thanks for the input!

I wouldn't sweat it either way, Dan. It would be a simple swap, with your ability, I would make the swap myself rather than bringing it to a dealer.

You'll have to let me know if this fixes it Dan as mine has a clunk as well.

BTW: I feel pretty confident that the 12mm bolt instead of the 14mm bolt isn't the cause of the clunk.

I agree with Brian, however, there is no sense in having a 12mm bolt in a 14mm hole. The clunk is caused by a few things, of which I have a couple of ideas.
Todd (and others) - the bolt/nut part #'s are:
bolt - W704939-S426
nut - W520215-S427
Should be around $20. Not too hard to fix. IF you can get under the car..
(Psst... group IRS tech session at Brian's lift in Wanamingo!)
