Mine was a '84 'stang hatchback. It had a black bra, chrome wheels, and it was a 4 banger. MAN I thought I was cool. Went through 3 clutches in 2 years. Thought it was COOL to spin the tires.

2 knob radio WITH the booster!

<sigh> Those were the good ol' days.

Anyone? Bonus points if ya got pics. (Brian - show me that Cougar!)

WOW hehe my first was a 88 mitsubishi minica, its a japan only model, and yes i was in japan.

it was a little 3 banger, hehe you thought metro's were small hehe woooo, i had a bumping system in it though, the backseat was filled with 2 10's, and 4 6X9's, it was white, and the paint was sooo oxidized, it was pathetic, was an automatic 3 speed,.

second car i owened was a toyota corona gt tr, 2 plugs per cylinder twin turbo straight six, japan only car also, then i moved up to a 90 Nissan Skyline GT A spec, also while i was in japan, i was there for almost 4 years, DAMN DO i miss that skyline, and the corona

78 buick regal sport coupe also known as the first grand national/ ttype. baby blue with blue interior. same 231 v6 motor with a turbo non intercooled that didn't happen until 1986 halfway through gn production that year. i could only wish for one of those. my dad picked it up for 1,500 loved that car but blew the turbo out of it the first time i mashed it to the floor, RATZ.. other than that flawless inside and out only wish i could have kept it that way. anyhow sold it for what he paid not to shabby for it when we sold.

My first car was a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. V6, automatic. Nice car. Kept it for 3.5 years, then traded it in for my first Ranger. The car was worth only $500 on bluebook, but I got $2500 for it. Some goofy deal the dealership had going on and the salesperson put his foot in his mouth. Offered me $3,500 without seeing the car. Then he saw it and still manages $2,500. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Well, I am quite ashamed to say that my first car was an '87 Pontiac grand am, with a 4 banger, oh yeah! It was probably the gayest car of all time, but it got me to school and back, and I managed to loose my cherry in the backseet! I remember onetime on the way home from school, I was screwing around with some friends and had it totally floored! Well the gas pedal got stuck ALL the way down! We were going like 85-90 mph down a residential road in Coon Rapids, I wad to stand up the the break to get it to stop and turn it off!! then I got a '92 F150, it's been all blue ovals scince then!!

My 1st car was a 1991 Cougar Xr-7 with the 5.0
Was a sweet car, wish i still had it. I sold it to buy a 87' Ranger so I could pull a small boat and haul my fishouse, well that was a big mistake. that pucker could barely pull it self. Truck was a pile. Then I sold that and got a 93' S-10 that I loved and never had ANY problems with. (I wanted a small truck)(Ad rangers blow ass quite frankly)

thanks for the tip on the rangers was going to buy one but heard what you said and bought an S-10 instead.. holy **** does this thing suck ass it can hardly start let alone pull itself. just kidding i didn't buy no screwed up chebby. anyhow the new colorado don't sell for crap either. guess the old 4.0 liter ranger still knows a thing or 2 about something. love a TCAP employee..

My Ranger was a '87 (So it was older, but this was in the mid 90's when I had it). It was a 4 banger 5speed, that couldnt chirp the tires from the day I got it. I was the 2nd owner and bought it from a older guy (Farmer) when it had 24k on it. I dont know if '87 was a bad year for Ford paint and body but the thing started rusting like in 94' VERY badly and I always parked it inside and washed it twice a week. So I dont know. I am a Ford guy through and through, but had VERY good luck with my S-10 and wouldnt hesitate to buy another one if I was looking for a small truck again.

My first was a 1964 Triumph Spitfire, then a 62 Cutlass F-85 Starfire with a 215" aluminum V8, then a 64 283 Chevelle, then a White K-Code 65 Mustang Convertible, then a 65 Austin Healy Sprite, then a 68 Camaro SS-350 vert, then a 65 SS Chevelle w/327-350HP, then the 69 Z-28, and then another 65 SS Chevelle, but with a built 400HP 327. All that in the first 3 years from my first car at age 18!!!

I think I was worse than Dan at buying everything in sight.

My first was a silver 1998.5 SVT Contour. Bought it brand new when I turned 16, now 21, with money I had been saving up from drywall taping with my dad :). It was totalled 3 months later by some jackass who ran a red light and t-boned me going 70mph. I walked away without a scratch though so thats good. Ordered a black 1999 Cougar a month later and had to wait 3 months for it because of build issues Ford was having. Then in 2001 I bought another 99 Cougar with a blown engine and fixed it up and sold it to a friend for double what I paid. Then just last year I bought a 2002 Jaguar X-type with 9k miles on it for a steal. Still waiting on the title for that one...(long long story) :( This January I bought a 1998.5 SVT contour for Brandie which had a blown engine and replaced the engine with a 2002 3L Duratec Taurus engine.

first car was a mustang, 1977 mustang II. put 1969 302 with 11:1 compression, 600 holley and hedman hedders in it. beautiful dark emerald green out side, green and white inside. i'd love to find one like it today, though i know i am in the minority when it comes to liking mustang II's.

Mine was a 1973 Ford gran Torino. 4-doors of fun. 400M C-6. I couldn't hurt that car if I tried. Who do you guys think will win that pesky 04 presidential Election this fall. I hope Daunte Culpepper doesn't get injured, and finishes his long career in Mn. I really like my 93 Cobra, but I hope to get something newer someday, Maybe that brand new Mach 1, or even a terminator, But maybe I'm dreaming. I think I'll just stick to my 93, it's paid off.

A big enough backseat to do pretty much anything you wanted.

Car would hold 4 people in the front seat, 5 in the rear seat, and 4 in the trunk when going to the local drive in on an "EVERYONE IN THE CAR FOR $5" night.
This was in Royal Oak Michigan (skirts of Detroit proper).

Just sold it about 4 years ago to a guy who just wanted the engine.
Told him you only get the engine if you take the car... apparently he wanted
the engine pretty bad.

My first car was a 1973 Chevy caprice Convertable with the rare Cadillac 455-badging on the front fenders, 12 bolt rear, turbo 400 trans, yellow with green interior and a white top. Rear fender skirts, dog dish wheel caps, dual exhaust. That car would haul lots of ass-er I mean people. I could put 8 in the car, 4 in the trunk. Parents took an offer from some stranger to buy it from under me-I was 16- and then I replaced it with a Ford Tempo for a short time...

I think I replaced just about everything possable. rods, points, condencer, all brakes, speedo, carpet, headliner, exhaust, removed the engine once, and much more i just cant think about right now

74 Cadillac Coupe Deville could fit 8 people in that car and 3 in the trunk. 472 with a broken exhaust right after the mufflers. God I miss that car you would tap the gas and the whole car would rock to one side

89 Chevy Blazer, the short body one with only two doors. Best car ever when you are in high school. You could fit a ton of people in that thing. Until the engine started to have problems. Plus, the exhaust had a huge hole in it, you could hear me coming from a mile away, hehheheheee. Chris remembers many a times it breaking down. Oh well still sold it for $2,500 after everything.
