After reading this I don't feel so bad about my 215/250 on the Dynojet this spring with my modified Mustang. I also know that I'd be a fool to put my stock K code on the Dyno in front of you guys!:badidea:

I going to guess that you don't own a stock K code because of it power, so who care about the dyno results?

Exactly why I won't dyno it! However, most people assume that this car is fast and powerful. I like to let them hold onto their dream.
BUT, If I'm feeling a bit spunky I tell them that I think my wife's Toyota Minivan can beat it (I think it really can), and they just look at me in disbelief.
I will tell you that my Mustang is 10x more enjoyable to drive, and the illusion of power and speed can be very intoxicating (:

My dad and I got into a debate about almost this exact same thing. He was saying that Muscle cars like the AAR Cuda, Yenko Camaro and Shelby's were incredibly fast cars. I had to break the news to him that those 400hp or so big block cars would turn solid 14 second quarters at best all day long. And that they were now where near the speed of a box stock modern muscle car.
Don't get me wrong, I'd still take the 60/70's muscle (regardless of value). But they aren't the fast cars that they have the reputation of being.

My boss, way back when I wrenched for a living, had a Yenko Nova that did 12.2X's. Mostly stock except for a line-lock and wrinkle walls.
